My Hero Academia: You’re Next Movie Earns 890 Million Yen In 3 Days Of Release

 My Hero Academia: You’re Next, the latest anime film in the franchise, has earned 890 million yen in revenue in the Japanese box office and attracted 608,000 viewers within the first three days of its release.


The official X account celebrated the milestone, announcing, “The No.1 hit start of the series. In the three days up to Sunday, August 4, it has surpassed 608,000 viewers and 890 million yen in box office revenue! Thank you very much!!

The film, released in 488 theaters nationwide, including 51 IMAX, 63 4DX, 13 MX4D, and 9 Dolby Cinema screens, had a strong opening day, with 260,000 viewers and 370 million yen in revenue.

This surpassed the opening day revenue of the previous series record holder, My Hero Academia THE MOVIE: World Heroes’ Mission, by 118%. TOHO, the film’s distributor, stated that ‘You’re Next‘ has had the No.1 hit start in the series’ history and is on track to surpass 4 billion yen in total box office revenue.

My Hero Academia is a manga series written and illustrated by Kohei Horikoshi. It was serialized in Weekly Shōnen Jump from July 2014 to Aug 2024, with its chapters collected into 41 tankobon volumes as of August 2024.

The series has numerous spin-off manga, including My Hero Academia: Smash!!, My Hero Academia: Vigilantes and My Hero Academia: Team-Up Missions.

Kaiju No. 8 Season 2 Confirmed For 2025 Release

  A compilation film of season 1 along with a side story has also been announced. The official website of  Kaiju No. 8  anime announced that season 2 is slated for broadcast in 2025.
